Männervokalensemble Aachen e.V. was founded at the end of 2017. Within a year, its membership had doubled from the seven founding members to the current 15 singers, aged between 18 and 35. The young ensemble is dedicated to a broad repertoire ranging from classical to modern music, predominantly in the field of a cappella repertoire. The singers are inspired by the warm sound of Romantic male choral singing as well as by fresh interpretations of contemporary arrangements. The ensemble places particular emphasis on a homogeneous and delicate sound; to achieve this, it often departs from the conventional choral formation in order to offer the audience a unique auditory experience.
